Job Description

You are responsible for

  • Give direction and leads complex, integral projects, from initial phase until introduction in the Market or until internal company delivery, which are essential to Philips organizational strategy involving multiple business domains and knowledge centers inside and outside Philips and/or external business partners and/or customers.
  • Set strategic direction within the project(s) and related projects / program
  • Articulate complex schedules and interdependencies in a consumable way for stakeholders, can identify risks and issues and identifies mitigation actions and understands when to escalate.
  • In collaboration with project stakeholders identifies project risks (opportunities and threats) and issues, identify mitigation actions and supports in fostering a risk environment where considerate risk-taking behavior is encouraged, taking into consideration the balance between risk taking and risk escalations.
  • Apply daily management and methodical problem solving, partners with key stakeholders to constantly search for creative and innovative ways to elevate the capabilities of the portfolio and maintains advanced knowledge of business lines and products/services, as well as the competitive market.
  • Recognize critical project knowledge, value lessons learned, and share critical project knowledge in the Philips Knowledge Hub. Drive opportunities in the Philips PM community to add value and uses internal network to advance other teams.
  • Deliver innovative solutions that improve single domain business activities and/or operations and impact the long-term goals in the organization.
  • Responsible for project goals and objectives, key process decisions and alignment with project stakeholders related to large projects.
  • KPIs projections, tracking, and reporting for assigned initiatives.
  • Report project status regularly to key stakeholders and obtaining stakeholders’ approvals for completing each key milestone and major plan changes with discipline.
  • Deliver the quality initiatives via project and product development execution.
  • Support continuous improvement and compliance processes and initiatives according to corporate policies and procedures
  • Manage Change Management procedures as appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on relevant G&B Product Development
  • The position requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills are necessary to successfully deliver Philips G&B products and present Philips G&B message to individuals and groups in a professional manner.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business or engineering preferred)
  • 8+ years in engineering/R&D project management successfully leading large complex programs, projects, and initiatives with structured approach (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile)
  • Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of Project Management plan-driven methodology, including Governance, Monitoring & Controlling, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Financial Management, Issue & Risk Management, Vendor, Contract, & Resources Management
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of electronics and mechanical design aspects of household or consumer products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to tailor information and pitch at differing levels of detail, especially presenting management information to assist with and enable decision making.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive change & standardization across the businesses and markets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, result oriented self-starter with excellent communication and people skills, attention to detail and initiative.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese Languages
  • Willing to travel.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Skills Required
