This role requires an experienced and well-versed writer who loves to translate technical, complex information and insurance regulations into easy-to-understand, meaningful content to educate in a relatable and relevant way. This position acts as the Content Marketing expert for Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), writing for multiple channels – from blog posts to in-depth guides, from infographics to video scripts.
Responsibilities:
- Create content that is strategy-driven and reflective of the company's tone and voice.
- Write well-crafted, accurate, and easy-to-understand content about Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), tailoring the message to be on point for our different channels and relevant for specific audience segments with varying degrees of industry. knowledge.
- Channels include, for example, blog, in-depth guides, emails, advertising, brochures, videos, web, etc.
- Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders during content creation.
- Collaborate with our SEO expert on content opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing Team on implementation.
- Stay on top of PFML developments and industry trends and gain additional marketing content development knowledge.
- Contribute to editorial planning and our editorial calendar.
- Support setting up of blog posts in our content management system, as needed.
- Assists with general copy editing and proofreading as requested .
- Facilitate approvals, and record keeping for job file/audit purposes.
- Other department efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 2 years of related work experience post graduation.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry, particularly employee benefits, strongly preferred.
- Understanding of statutory benefit insurance or other highly regulated industry preferred
- Familiarity NY Advertising Regulations ideal.
- Solid MS Office experience.
- Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
- Strong analytical and comprehension skills paired with ability to distill and simplify complex information
- Highly detail-oriented and organized individual
- Ability to work under minimal guidance and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate well with team members and coordinate internal stakeholders
- Exemplary work ethic and follow-through with results
- Quick learner who can take on to new challenges easily
