We are seeking an experienced Newsletter Writer to lead the creation and management of a high-impact newsletter focused on cybersecurity. This role involves delivering engaging, technically accurate content that simplifies complex cybersecurity topics for a professional, business-oriented audience.
You will produce content that empowers readers to understand industry trends, threats, and best practices, while ensuring alignment with the broader company strategy.

What you’ll do:

Content Creation: Lead the authorship of a cybersecurity-focused newsletter, producing high-quality, original content on topics like threat intelligence, ransomware, data privacy, and compliance. Write concise and engaging articles tailored for executives, IT leaders, and cybersecurity professionals.

Newsletter Design & Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to develop visually appealing, user-friendly newsletters. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end process, from planning and writing to final publication.

Market & Technical Research: Conduct deep dives into cybersecurity trends, tools, and threats to ensure timely and accurate content. Stay informed about the latest developments in cybercrime, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies like zero trust, SIEM, and endpoint protection.

Engagement Optimization: Use email marketing tools and analytics platforms to monitor performance metrics and optimize content for reader engagement. Experiment with layout, headlines, and storytelling techniques to improve audience retention.

Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and technical teams to align newsletter content with company goals and initiatives. Represent the newsletter as a thought leader, influencing overall content strategies around cybersecurity topics.
Experience you’ll bring:

Technical Knowledge: Experience with AI-related content creation. Familiarity with concepts like machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI, and the ethical implications of AI is critical.

Writing & Communication Skills: We’re looking for someone who can bring a unique voice to the newsletter. A personal touch is required to build trust and engagement. You should be able to write clear and concisely in this limited format. You write compelling headlines and can distill complicated subjects into crisp, short formats.

Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to develop a content strategy that aligns with business goals and optimizes audience engagement.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data-driven content strategies, using tools like Google Analytics, Mailchimp, or other email marketing platforms.
Requirements:

Social Media Proficiency: Familiarity with using social platforms to promote content and drive engagement.

Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple projects and deadlines.

Hands-on AI experience: 2-3 years experience building products and services using AI or utilizing AI on a regular basis in the function of previous jobs.

At least 5 years of experience leading the authorship, design, and execution of newsletters. Strong portfolio of published work demonstrating expertise in this area.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience with content creation focused on the AI industry.
Travel Requirements:
While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $126,500 - $140,6 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
