The Insurance & Claims Associate manages claims processing, documentation, and support, coordinates assessments, and maintains tracking systems while liaising with insurers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Claims Reporting & Documentation:
- Ensure prompt First Notification of Loss (FNOL) submission for all accidents.
- Collect, verify, and submit essential claim documentation including police abstracts, damage quotes, and driver details.
- Maintain accurate claim records and support audit readiness through proper documentation.
Claims Coordination & Support:
- Liaise with insurance providers, assessors, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure timely claim verification and resolution.
- Monitor and track pending or unreported accidents ensuring all incidents are properly escalated and documented.
- Support in responding to customer inquiries regarding claim statuses and required documents.
Assessment & Repair Coordination:
- Coordinate damage assessments for electric motorbikes with significant repairs (above 15,000Kes) per insurer requirements.
- Schedule & support assessment appointments ensuring availability of necessary documents and electric motorbikes.
- Track repair progress and ensure submission of pre and post-repair images.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain organized claim tracking systems and support with internal reporting on claim trends and processing times.
- Collaborate across functions to streamline workflows and reduce delays in claims handling.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or a related field is preferred.
- A Diploma in Insurance, ACII, AIIK, or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience in insurance, claims, or related roles is preferred.
- Good knowledge of insurance products.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Knowledgeable of industry rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
