About the Role:
The Finance Operations Group of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Insurance Accounting Manager to join our Warren, NJ office to support and manage the Insurance Program Administrator Accounting team to onboard new programs and manage existing programs. Ensuring monthly accounting, cash management and reporting by program administrators are timely and adhere to the program administrator agreements. Liaison with Finance, Operation, program administrators, internal and external auditors with emphasis on a strong internal control environment. Perform annual operational audits of program administrators.
Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Ensure monthly premium bordereaux are received, reviewed, and reconciled to the general ledger and are consistent and comply with the Program Administrator agreements.

Ensure monthly account currents are received timely and that related cash is received, recorded, and applied against open accounts receivables and any open receivables are identified, collected, or resolved with the Program Administrator. Consolidate and review the non-admitted receivable reporting, exceptions, perform analysis, and finalize the Statutory accounting recordings.

Management of Past Due Balances partnering with Program Managers and UW Ops.

Support annual operational audits of Program Administrators to confirm proper accounting and financial controls are maintained.

Maintain high level of internal controls and ensure all key controls are documented and performed timely and that all accounts are reconciled. Liaison with both internal and external auditors.

Regular monitoring and resolution of balances in Deposit suspense while working with internal and external stakeholders.

Partner with Business Segments, Program Administrators and finance to onboard new programs, including performing a due diligence and ensuring compliance with Everest’s accounting and reporting standards.

Manage and develop onshore staff and contractor resources to ensure cross training, process documentation, process improvements to support qualitative and timely delivery.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or CPA.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
-
5 – 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Extensive Internal/External Audit experience.

Possess high level analytical and technical communication skills (verbal and written).

Excellent technology skills (Excel, Access, Power BI, Oracle) and demonstrated ability to work with large data sets.

Excellent presentation skills (MS PowerPoint) to present balances and comparative narrative to Program Managers.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and be able to multitask in an ever-changing environment.
