Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and driven Associate to join our Institutional Sales team in Singapore. In this role, you will support the institutional sales effort across the region, working closely with senior sales professionals to develop and maintain client relationships, assist in business development activities, and contribute to the growth of Neuberger's institutional client base.
Responsibilities
- Support senior sales team members in understanding client needs and assist in offering appropriate strategies and solutions across Neuberger Berman's capabilities
- Assist in building and maintaining Neuberger's brand presence in the region by leveraging existing networks and identifying new leads and prospects
- Support the identification and cultivation of prospective client relationships, contributing to the management of the sales pipeline from opportunity through to completion
- Work closely with Neuberger's distribution and client service teams to respond to client needs and requests in a timely and diligent manner
- Assist in preparing business development materials, new business presentations, and supporting client meetings
- Support the team in meeting established business development goals on a weekly and monthly basis
- Monitor competitive industry trends and market developments to provide relevant investment information and insights to clients and internal stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of competitive industry trends/markets to provide technical investment information to clients
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in institutional asset management is preferred. Fresh graduate also considered.
- Some exposure to institutional clients and an understanding of how to navigate within complex organisations
- A developing network of institutional contacts across markets is an advantage
- University degree or equivalent qualification; CFA candidate or progress towards CFA designation preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle a broad range of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Foundational knowledge of the financial services industry and investment products
