The Role
Own and evolve a hybrid OpenShift/Kubernetes and Azure platform supporting production workloads. Responsibilities include cluster and cloud infrastructure architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD platform management, security, incident troubleshooting, capacity and cost optimization, observability, deployment pattern design, documentation, and mentoring. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes, Azure services, container security, distributed systems, automation, microservices, event-driven architectures, and GitOps.
Summary Generated by Built In
We're looking for an Infrastructure Expert to own and evolve our hybrid container and cloud platform, spanning Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure. You'll be the technical authority for platform reliability, scalability, and security across our integration and application landscape, working closely with development, DevOps, and architecture teams.Your responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and maintain OpenShift clusters (control plane, worker nodes, networking, storage, ingress/routes) for production workloads.
  • Architect and manage Azure infrastructure: APIM, Service Bus, Blob Storage, PostgreSQL, networking (VNets, private endpoints), and identity (Managed Identity / Workload Identity Federation).
  • Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM) for repeatable, auditable deployments.
  • Own CI/CD pipeline infrastructure (Azure DevOps) supporting containerized .NET microservices deployed to OpenShift.
  • Manage cluster security: RBAC, network policies, image scanning, secrets management (Key Vault integration), and compliance posture.
  • Troubleshoot platform-level incidents across compute, networking, and Azure PaaS services — including root-causing pod scheduling issues, resource limits, and service-to-service connectivity.
  • Capacity planning and cost optimization across OpenShift and Azure resources.
  • Drive observability: logging, metrics, and alerting (Prometheus/Grafana, Azure Monitor, or equivalent) for both cluster and application health.
  • Partner with integration developers to define deployment patterns, resource requests/limits, and scaling strategies for event-driven and API-based workloads.
  • Document architecture decisions and mentor engineers on platform best practices.
Your profile
  • 5+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering, with hands-on production experience running OpenShift or Kubernetes at scale.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure core services: APIM, Service Bus, Storage, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, networking, and IAM/Managed Identity.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (or equivalent) for pipeline design and release management.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, Helm, or Kustomize).
  • Solid understanding of container networking, ingress controllers, and service mesh concepts.
  • Familiarity with securing containerized workloads (RBAC, network policies, secrets, image scanning).
  • Comfortable troubleshooting distributed systems — logs, traces, metrics — under production pressure.
  • Scripting ability (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) for automation.
  • Experience with .NET microservice deployment patterns and event-driven architectures (Service Bus, Kafka/Event Hubs).
  • Red Hat certifications (RHCSA/RHCE, OpenShift Administration) or Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-700).
  • Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Background supporting integration/API platforms.
Our offer
  • An extensive mobility program for a healthy work-life balance.
  • A permanent training track which allows you to develop yourself personally and professionally.
  • A stimulating, innovative workplace with numerous growth opportunities.
  • A people-oriented environment with an interactive health program and a focus on employee wellbeing.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience
  • Hands-on production experience running OpenShift or Kubernetes at scale
  • Strong knowledge of Azure core services, including APIM, Service Bus, Storage, PostgreSQL, networking, and IAM/Managed Identity
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent for pipeline design and release management
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Bicep, Helm, or Kustomize
  • Understanding of container networking, ingress controllers, and service mesh concepts
  • Experience securing containerized workloads with RBAC, network policies, secrets, and image scanning
  • Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems using logs, traces, and metrics
  • Scripting ability with Bash, PowerShell, or Python
  • Experience with .NET microservice deployment patterns and event-driven architectures
  • Red Hat or Azure certifications, such as RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift Administration, AZ-104, AZ-400, or AZ-700
  • Experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux
  • Background supporting integration or API platforms
