  • Provides expertise on platform engineering, while overseeing the team's effort and meeting customer needs. Uses technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
  • Develops software components and hardware for complex projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
  • Provides expertise on best practices, standards, engineering approaches and complex technical resolutions for processes.

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Platform Engineer to support and modernize a large-scale, mission-critical Oracle database platform. This role focuses on platform engineering, not application DBA work.

The engineer will play a key role in multitenant transformation, automation of Oracle lifecycle management, and maintaining a secure, audit-ready Oracle environment supporting critical business workloads.

This position requires deep hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and comfort operating in highly regulated enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Engineer and support Oracle database platforms across multiple production environments.

Design, implement, and operate Oracle RAC and Grid Infrastructure.

Lead and support Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB) architecture, migrations, and ongoing operations.

Perform advanced performance analysis and troubleshooting.

Execute and improve database and GI patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.

Support backup and recovery operations, including Oracle Recovery Appliances.

Build and maintain automation for provisioning, patching, and operational tasks.

Support and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) monitoring and alerting.

Implement and operate security controls, including:

o Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)

o Enterprise User Security (EUS)

o CIS compliance reporting

o MFA-related database controls

Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during off-hours for critical events.

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and audit teams.

Produce audit-safe documentation and support regulatory and compliance reviews.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $91,000.00 – $169,000.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
