Position Details:
The Infrastructure Engineer II is responsible for maintaining and enhancing endpoint and mobile device infrastructure within a complex IT environment, including RF guns, OT (operational technology) laptops, desktops (macOS and Windows), and mobile devices (iOS and Android). The role ensures that systems are robust, secure, and integrated within the overall IT framework. Key responsibilities include configuring, deploying, and supporting endpoint and mobile management solutions using tools like Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Ivanti Avalanche, Velocity, and Zebra Technologies, including StageNow.
The role also involves leveraging GitHub and GitHub Actions to create automations in Intune as configuration as code. The role also requires a deep understanding of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) practices and the full lifecycle management of IT assets.
Compensation:
This position is salaried and will pay between $79000.00 to $131,600.00 with a target bonus of 5%

You will:

  • Design secure, scalable and resilient endpoint solutions for devices such as RF guns, laptops, desktops (macOS and Windows), and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
  • Manage and support endpoint management tools including Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Ivanti Avalanche, and Velocity.
  • Leverage GitHub and GitHub Actions to create automations in Intune as configuration as code.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage operational technology (OT) with Zebra Technologies, including StageNow, and Dematic system to streamline device management and configuration.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of endpoint devices, ensuring assets are tracked from procurement through decommissioning.
  • Ensure that endpoint services are integrated effectively with cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Leverage configuration as code to automate repetitive endpoint management tasks.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of automation frameworks to enhance lifecycle management.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining security baselines, CIS benchmarks and configuration control for endpoint and mobile devices.
  • Monitor endpoint infrastructure to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure SLAs are met by utilizing monitoring tools and effective troubleshooting techniques.
  • Document new or modified endpoint infrastructure solutions, including lifecycle management processes and CMDB updates.


You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years in the IT industry, with 3+ years of experience in endpoint and mobile device management or a related field.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with CMDB and IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Ivanti Avalanche, Velocity, and Zebra Technologies, including StageNow.
  • Proficiency in endpoint and mobile management tools such as Microsoft Intune and JAMF.
  • Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions for creating automations and managing configuration as code.
  • Familiarity with RF Gun infrastructure, mobile devices (iOS and Android), and other endpoint devices in a distribution center and retail environments.
  • Experience with lifecycle management practices, including asset tracking and decommissioning.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation of endpoint management tasks.
  • Understanding of macOS, Windows, iOS and Android operating systems.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24x7 on-call support aligned with enterprise needs, ensuring the availability and reliability of critical systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support endpoint engineering initiatives.
  • Engage with external vendors for endpoint device and infrastructure support and improvements.
  • Ability to travel domestically and participate in international travel as required.
