The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

Job Description

We are looking for Infrastructure Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that works on for a client from French public sector.

The position operates within a three-shift schedule: 08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00, and 12:00–20:00.

Responsibilities:​

  • Administration and maintenance of business applications for a French-speaking client, ensuring their stability, availability, and optimal performance
  • Monitoring application performance and proactively identifying issues to maintain high availability and reliability
  • Incident and problem management (2nd line support), including troubleshooting and root cause analysis, with readiness to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Implementation of changes, fixes, and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Client communication and coordination, providing timely updates and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business needs and drive system improvements
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational procedures, including regular updates
  • Continuous improvement of system performance and reliability, proposing and implementing enhancements
  • Administration of environments based on Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, and VTOM, leveraging hands-on technical experience
  • Support of administrative duties related to system management and operational processes

Qualifications

Must have requirements:​

  • Very good command of French (min. B2/C1) – daily communication with the client
  • Experience in application administration / application support
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows)
  • Knowledge of VTOM (or similar scheduling tools)
  • Hands-on experience in application monitoring and incident analysis
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes (containerized environments)

Skills Required
