Job Description
As the Infrastructure Consultant for Bosch Locations, you ensure effective and timely coordination of Bosch Digitals (BD) Infrastructure activities and overall management for the specified sites by applying processes, services and tools. This includes the management and auditing of local BD Data Centers in accordance with ISP and BD Guidelines and Processes.
You would be the main interface between Bosch Locations with their business needs and the IT Infrastructure Specialists in Bosch Digital.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Location Infrastructure Consulting
- Consult on and Integrate BD standard Infrastructure Products into local environment in compliance to the standards set by the Infrastructure Product Teams
- Support the ordering process by providing the specification for the Bill of Material to the ordering team.
- Build and maintain a relationship with all relevant stakeholders in your Sites.
- Drive Infrastructure related Business Plan for Site and support Hardware Lifecycle for Infrastructure on site.
- Make Site Business Responsible aware and plan mitigation actions for Infrastructure related Risks.
- Data Management
- Responsible for maintaining Site and Room data in all related tools.
- Be aware and support update of relevant Device-data in all related tools to Provide Site with information regarding their BD Managed Infrastructure Services
- IT Room Operations & Access Management
- Act as the Official IT Room Owner as defined in ISP Guideline.
- Conducts regular IT Room Audit and Site Visit in accordance with C/ISP and BD Guidelines and Processes.
- Conduct regular Self-Audits and support other Audits (e.g. C/AU, ISO).
- Follow up on open points from audits and ensures timely closure.
- Consult on/Approve of Power Maintenance Activities on Site.
- Regularly reviews and audits IT Room Access Processes and Logs, Part of approval process for IT Room Access.
- Create, Review and Update IT Room Concept,
- Other Tasks
- Support Projects for Business integrations, moves, new locations, closures, and carve-outs.
- Support Problem Management for Location Specific Problem Investigation
- Supports LIS Product Owner in Product Development
Qualifications
- Infrastructure Consulting Knowledge
- Generic Understanding of IT Infrastructure Services and Products (Server, Storage, Network etc.), their connection to each other.
- Proven ability to Consult upon these Services and their Integration into an existing or new Environment.
- Basic understanding of Business Planning and Hardware Lifecycle processes
- Ability to analyze and abstract customer demands and match against existing Infrastructure Services.
- Ability to communicate, consult and advise complex Infrastructure Use Cases to critical decision makers on management level (e.g. Plant Manager, Location Responsible) even in adverse environments (e.g. Budget Constraints)
- IT Room Operations
- Understanding of Data Center and IT Room concepts.
- Basic Understanding of Data Center Facility technology (e.g. Electrical, A/C).
- Experience with access management processes and tools.
- Communication, Consulting & Methodology
- Advanced Communication, Presentation and Consulting Skills.
- Project Management Skills & familiar with Agile methods.
- Quality Mindset and Audit methodology.
- Ability to work in international teams and collaborate on a global level.
- Proficient in English Language, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and interdisciplinary with other teams across hierarchies.
