Informatica PowerCenter and exposure of Informatica’s other products and cloud-based data integration tools like Matillion

Reporting to the Senior Manager, and the role involves:

What a typical day looks like:

• Analyze data requirements, data model and determine the best methods in extracting, transforming, and loading the data into the data warehouse and other system integration projects
• Perform source system analysis and design the extract logic
• Architect the solution, Code Design, Implement and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation and loading activities
• Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines
• Write SQL scripts to perform data comparison checks to unit test data integration jobs
• Prepare high- and low-level design documentation
• PoCs for various Data Integration uses cases by using various Data Integration tools and Databases.
• Write Shell scripts or Python scripts for various in-house automation activities

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Any Bachelor or Master degree or any equalant degree.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in Data Warehousing environment with very strong knowledge of Data Integration, migration & replication by using Informatica PowerCenter/products, Oracle, Snowflake & Unix shell scripting
• Proficient in Data modelling & Strong Exposure to Data Warehousing Concepts. 
• Implementation of larger Data Warehousing/Data Lake projects
• Strong hands-on experience on Databases including PL/SQL & SQL
• Hands on experience in SQL query tuning, query re-writing & fine tuning 
• Preferred to have exposure on cloud data integration tools
• Able to write the complex Unix shell and Python scripts
• Hands on experience of Informatica Power Center and other products, preferred to have worked  on CDC (Change Data Capture) environment
• Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL server, postgres & Snowflake database and write/optimizing complex SQL queries
• Experience with scripting languages such as Unix Shell and Python
• Strong knowledge of data analysis, data transformation, conceptual data modelling, data transformation and metadata management.
• Preferred to have knowledge on Qlik Replicate, Big data, APIs, and Cloud data integration tools experience
• Experience in handling various file types for sending/receiving data (CSV/API/XML/JSON/AVRO)
• Should be proficient enough to design and develop ETL for any data warehouse projects
• Should have very good technical skills to optimize/tune the SQL queries or workflow to reduce cycle times to process huge data set
• Understanding of industry standards for data security and privacy
• Must have good communication and problem-solving skills
• Design and Develop Informatica mappings, mapplets and workflows using Informatica products
• Share the workload and flexible enough to get into other technologies as applicable and need basis
• Coach and guide other members in the team and implement best practices and automate some of routine day to day activities
• Prepare High & Low-level design documents and Test cases for various Data Warehousing projects
• Good Written & Verbal Communication.
