Job Purpose:

Working in collaboration with the Product Manager and other Product Owners, within your business stream; take ownership of requirements from elicitation until ready, prioritise the backlog in line with the wider product goals and strategy for the squad and represent users throughout the entire development lifecycle

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Break down high-level features into epics and detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria facilitating development understanding that meet the definition of ready.
• Continuously refine and align the backlog with changing customer needs and business goals.
• Curate and prioritize the product backlog, leading sprint refinement, estimation and planning sessions supported by the Scrum Master.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and other Product Owners to ensure alignment in the holistic product delivery lifecycle.
• Lead the planning and coordination of UAT sessions.
• Work with the scrum team to implement stories and ensure the definition of done is met.
• Be available to provide real-time clarification and decisions during development, addressing any ambiguities or uncertainties.
• Collaborate with support to keep SOP’s up to date and help investigate detailed issues that require deep product knowledge.
• Ensure the sprint backlog is healthy and covers capacity for multiple sprints.
• Understand and analyze the usage of the product through data to inform future developments and to validate value / benefits of implemented features.
• Communicate effectively and act as a bridge between stakeholders, customers, and the development team to ensure features are fit for purpose, changes are understood, feedback is gathered, and expectations are managed.
• Collaborate with support to; keep SOP’s up to date, and help investigate detailed issues that require deep product knowledge (L3 support issues & P1-P3 incidents).

• Foster a collaborative team culture, championing continuous learning and development.
• Oversee the successful launch and adoption of new features and functionalities
• Ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of the progress, risks, and changes in the finance systems roadmap
• Monitor product performance and metrics and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement

Knowledge & Skills: Essential

• Certified Product Owner.
• Basic understanding of how Cloud technologies support modern Products.
• Understands and have worked with modern delivery practices (Agile and Product).
• Knowledge of maritime desirable.
• Knowledge of finance processes and accounting software desirable (Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Bank Reconciliation, FX trades)

• Strong partner approach – collaborative and pro-active in finding solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Research and analytical capability to track product usage and trends.
• Problem-solver and solution focused to quickly identify issues and options.

• Product ownership / management experience in a large, multi-national organisation.
• Working with outsourced / offshore delivery teams.
• Designing and delivering seamless user experiences through user-centric design
• Experience using. JIRA/Confluence or similar.
• Understands and have worked with modern delivery practices (Agile and Product).
