Job Description
1. Business Development & Sales:
- Market research, identify potential projects/ Clients and develop project pipelines related to IND-inspection service in Energy & Utilities segment.
- Prepare marketing material, sales kit for sales activities (Brochures, presentation, service capability, price list, gift initiative, etc…)
- Proactively approach Owners, EPCs, Manufacturers, and Contractors to promote SGS' IND inspection capabilities.
- Understand Client technical requirements and translate them into commercial proposals and scopes of work.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tenders in coordination with technical and operations teams.
- Negotiate technical & commercial terms (pricing, scope, …) in compliance with SGS policies.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the main contact point for assigned Clients and Projects.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to secure repeat inspection business.
- Coordinate with Regional and Global SGS for cross-border inspection projects.
- Handle Client inquiries, Clarifications and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Project Coordination & Internal Liaison:
- Coordinate internally with Operations, Technical, QA/QC, Legal and Finance teams before/ during/ after project execution to ensure clear scope alignment, selling price, discount level, smooth operation and effective project delivery.
- Support pre-project activities including proposal clarification, scope finalization, Kick-off meetings (KOM), pre-inspection meetings (PIM) and Client alignment discussions when required.
- Coordinate during project execution to monitor project progress, inspection schedules together with operations teams, interface with operations teams to address execution or commercial issues.
- Support resolution of commercial issues related to scope changes, additional services, claims or variations.
- Support post-project activities, including contract close-out, variation handling, invoicing coordination, and follow-up with client for feedback and repeat opportunities.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitors' activities, and pricing benchmarks in the Energy & Utilities segment.
- Identify new service opportunities and sectors for SGS industrial services.
- Contribute to annual sales plans, budget and pipeline forecasts.
5. Compliance & Reporting.
- Ensure all Sales Activities comply with SGS code of Integrity policies.
- Maintain accurate Sales records, Client visit records, project pipeline updates.
- Prepare regular Sales reports and forecasts (weekly & monthly) for management review.
- Manage bad-debt and coordinate with customer service team to collect outstanding debts.
- Graduated College or above in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) with strong technical exposure.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Sales or Business Development role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency from HSK3 level or equivalent is an advantage.
- English proficiency at B1 level or equivalent, sufficient for daily communication and business documentation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including customers, internal teams and partners, with flexibility to travel as required by the role.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with high social intelligence and customer‑oriented mindset.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical)
