Program Overview:
Over eight-ten weeks, beginning May 28, 2026, and ending on August 7, 2026, the Summer Internship program is a paid multi-disciplinary program designed to complement your classroom training and career goals. The program is designed to introduce qualified and talented students to the many facets of a growing insurance brokerage and the industry as a whole.
Interns will have close access to company leaders while acquiring knowledge of a variety of service and specialty practice areas. Interns will work side-by-side with NFP professionals to experience unfiltered access to the role of an insurance broker, producer, and account manager. Just as importantly, interns will participate in a wide range of (in-person or virtual) networking and social opportunities across NFP community. Throughout the program interns will work towards a final project, drawing on their experiences across the three product segments, culminating in a presentation to NFP Leadership.

The Belonging Wellbeing and Inclusion Intern will be responsible for various administrative duties and responsibilities focused around NFP’s Belonging, Wellbeing and Inclusion initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with organization and scheduling of Inclusion and Belonging activities and events
- Attend available Inclusion and Belonging trainings, review content and report on applicability and accessibility for employees
- Coordinate communications, initiatives and projects with the NFP Inclusion and Belonging Advisory Board, Regional Inclusion and Belonging Committees and Business Resource Groups
- Learn about NFP’s current guidelines and policies and conduct research around inclusive policies and practices that can further Inclusion and Belonging initiatives
- Update NFP internal Inclusion and Belonging platforms and resources
- Assist in planning and implementation of annual Belonging Wellbeing and Inclusion Advisory Board retreat (possible travel required)
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
- Proficient in writing and editing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Positive attitude and team player
- High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information
- Proven administrative skills and expertise
- Good organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Education and/or Experience:
- Demonstrated interest in Inclusion and Belonging, focused studies or projects around Inclusion and Belonging initiatives
What We Offer:
Our People First culture focuses on building and nurturing lifelong relationships with our employees because, at the end of the day, we exist to be there for others. The base salary range for this position is $20/hr– $27/hr. The rate offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual rate offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
