The Implementation Engineer main objective is to safely, efficiently, and successfully commission, test and deploy the AutoStore system and any additional equipment within the project scope.
The implementation engineer is highly customer oriented as he/she will lead the training efforts of the Kardex scope of work and test all hardware aspects of the system prior to handover to the customer. The implementation engineer will also serve as the main technical point of contact for the customer several months after final acceptance to ensure continued customer success with the system.
The implementation engineer is highly motivated to work in a startup environment and is open for a wide range of tasks to support the growth of the overall team.
Your tasks
Job Purpose
Perform commissioning of the AutoStore system and participate in end-to-end testing of the entire integrated system.
Perform all necessary trainings of customer personnel on the AutoStore and supplied subsystem(s).
Contribute to the development of integrated testing plans with the AutoStore system, Kardex FulfillX Software System, client host system(s) and other subsystem(s) as per the project scope.
Support the customer during the post-handover ramp up period.
Travel to project sites, for sometimes a few weeks on one trip. Total travel estimate is 40%.
Travel domestically and internationally for training opportunities
Ownership of the AutoStore demo grid in the Cincinnati, OH office to ready for customer visits, testing initiatives, software updates, etc.
Job Requirements
Training/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, IT, or software fields recommended
Excellent communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting ability and software acumen
Professional Experience:
3+ years’ experience with work within and/or project management of automation systems, AutoStore experience a plus
Proven portfolio of successful implemented projects
Other Experiences:
Experience working in a project team in a project and construction-like environment.
Ability to use MS office suite and other similar software programs
Main Accountabilities
- Develop AutoStore, internal Kardex testing plan.
- Perform the commissioning of the AutoStore system.
- Develop customer training documentation and execution plan for all supplied hardware.
- Contributor to end-to-end integrated testing of the AutoStore, Kardex FulfillX software and customer host system(s)
- Perform training of customer end users and maintenance personnel of the AutoStore, Kardex software and other provided scope.
