The Opportunity
We're a data, research, technology and investment company seeking an Implementation Consultant.
Your primary role will be to ensure the successful onboarding of new clients to Morningstar technology, driving an engaging user experience and adoption in line with business objectives. Day to day, you will develop a deep understanding of our clients, ensuring user confidence in Morningstar solutions.
You will be a significant contributor to the success of our users' businesses by ensuring that they're able to operate efficiently. Ideally, you will have familiarity with the wealth and financial they can advice industry with an emphasis on CRM implementation, client engagement and data dissemination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and own the client relationship throughout the onboarding journey ensuring all implementation requirements are clearly understood, documented, and aligned to client business objectives.
- Build strong professional relationships with client, including key decision-makers.
- Conduct onboarding training sessions, and implementation discussions to support user adoption of AdviserLogic.
- Understand the business processes, operational workflows, technology requirements, and financial planning needs to ensure the implementation is fit for purpose.
- Act as a key conduit between clients and internal teams, including Database, Support, Customer Success, and Product Teams.
- Work closely with the Professional Services (Data) team to coordinate data migration requirements, clarify client expectations, and support the resolution of migration-related queries.
- Proactively manage onboarding timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and client expectations to ensure a smooth and seamless onboarding experience.
- Identify risks, blockers, or potential delays early and develop appropriate mitigation or escalation plans.
- Provide clear documentation, including onboarding updates, meeting notes, client requirements, implementation status, and handover summaries.
- Maintain accurate records and updates in relevant internal systems such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, Jira, or other operational tools.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of onboarding tools, templates, documentation, and processes to increase team efficiency and client experience.
- Support clients in understanding product functionality, workflows, and best practices to encourage adoption and confidence.
- Ensure a structured and timely handover to Customer Success and Support teams at the completion of onboarding.
- Proactively manage client satisfaction throughout the implementation journey and contribute to positive client outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MBA (Finance)
- 2-3 years of experience in software implementation, client onboarding, professional services, consulting, or customer-facing project delivery.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, CRM systems, financial planning software, wealth management technology, or similar business applications is preferred.
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of software implementation, onboarding, upgrades, or client transition projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, timelines, client expectations, risks, and dependencies.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build credibility and trusted relationships across different stakeholder levels.
- Proven ability to follow through on actions, resolve issues, and coordinate outcomes across multiple internal teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client implementations at the same time.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
