SUMMARY:

A supervisory position responsible for the management of the In-Home Detention Program, including proper monitoring and reporting of critical client issues, maintaining positive JJS stakeholder and community partner relationships, as well as training and supervising IHD Youth Workers. Position also entails administration of day-to-day IHD program operations, and ensuring the timely submission of all required reports and documentation.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· B.A. degree preferred

· Five years of experience in the field.

· Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Free of contagious disease.

· Ability to work an eight hour work day.

· Ability to read written or typed information.

· Ability to ascend and descend flights of stairs and to negotiate curbs.

· Ability to speak English clearly and hear voice in conversational tone.

· Ability to communicate in writing.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (and other duties as assigned)

· Ensures quality client service delivery as required by NET policy and procedure.

· Provides supervision of IHD Youth Workers, including weekly review of client contact and Youth Worker

billing paperwork

· Reviews court & incident reports before submission to Probation Department and CBDS Intake Unit

· Provides court coverage and court intake support as necessary

· Provides on-call crisis intervention support to IHD Youth Workers

· Monitors staff training records and develops staff training plans to ensure program compliance

· Provides supervision support to IHD Youth Workers on-site and maintains availability to check Youth Worker attendance to off-site programming and activities

· Monitors and audits both active and discharged client files to ensure compliance to IHD contract standards

· Helps build community partnerships to strengthen IHD calendar of workshops and activities

· Report program activities and all pertinent information to JJS Unit Director

· Other duties as requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Within NET sites, Family Court and external community settings.

WORKING HOURS:

Minimum of 40 hours per week. Specific hours to be determined based upon program need.
