Cox Enterprises is currently looking for an ID&E and ERGs Senior Manager to join our team. The incumbent must be in one of the following markets - Atlanta, Georgia, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Virginia Beach, Virginia, New Orleans, Louisiana, Orlando, Florida, San Diego, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, or Phoenix, Arizona.
The Role:
The ID&E and ERGs Senior Manager plays an instrumental role in the progress and success of the organization's ID&E strategy. This position serves as a strategic partner to ID&E Business Partners on diversity councils and taskforce initiatives and activations. The ideal candidate is one who thrives working at the intersection of multiple stakeholders with the ability to influence and lead with a deep ID&E expertise. Additionally, this role is responsible for the strategic consultation and management Cox's 9 Employee Resource Groups ("ERGs"), working closely with senior leaders and ERG employees to define and implement multi-year strategies and compelling programming aligned with organization priorities.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Partner to Divisional Directors
- Serve as an ID&E practitioner, embodying and promoting inclusive best practices and principles in all interactions and initiatives, fostering a culture of diversity and equity.
- Provide critical strategic program and planning support to ID&E Business Partners on Council (National ID&E Council and Executive Inclusion Council) and Departmental Taskforce goals and strategic priorities in partnership with ID&E business partners, from consultation to execution by providing strategic direction through ID&E expertise, project managing solution creation, determining activation strategy, implementing and measuring outcomes.
- Serve as an extension of ERGs, Councils, and ID&E business partners when partnering with internal People Solutions partners and enterprise stakeholders ensuring connectivity to the broader ID&E strategy with ERGs and Councils.
- Guide the ideation process for practical initiatives within Councils and Taskforces, ensuring the development and implementation of innovative and impactful solutions.
ERG Strategy & Management
- Consult with ERG leadership to co-create innovative, engaging event formats and programs that go beyond traditional formats, fostering compelling discussions and experiences, while ensuring strategic alignment and impactful outcomes.
- Provide strategic oversight for enterprise-wide ERGs, collaborating with ERG leadership to define multi-year visions, strategies, and KPIs aligned with Center for Inclusion goals, while partnering with key stakeholders (CSR, L&D, CTA, Talent Management, and Public Affairs) to ensure initiatives are executed effectively and amplify partner strategies.
- Develop and manage the engagement cadence for ERG Executive Sponsors to align ERG work with business initiatives, while overseeing ERG leadership lifecycle and implementing succession planning solutions and professional development opportunities for ERG leaders.
- Manage and evaluate ERG KPIs and budgets, providing consultation on opportunities and ensuring efficient stewardship of ERG spend.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of full-time corporate ID&E experience, supporting a business unit or serving in an ID&E center of excellence.
- Depth of understanding of core principles of Inclusion, Diversity & Equity including best practices and current trends to inform solutioning and consulting outputs of varying complexity.
- Proven success consulting across various client groups and providing tangible solutions varying in complexity. In depth understanding of solutioning from consultation to execution.
- Previous experience managing multiple organizational ERGs, including defining strategy and creating and delivering related quantifiable results.
- Advanced stakeholder management capability, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization, in a matrixed environment.
- Strong ability to influence, especially without formal authority, guiding towards positive outcomes.
- Demonstrates courage in challenging opinions and driving change.
- Ability to act as a business advisor using best practices and strong consultation skills.
- Operates with critical thinking and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, leveraging creative problem solving and solutioning.
- Excellent program and project management and coordination skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- Acts with a strong sense of learning agility and a growth mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an organization with multiple chapters of ERGs.
- Experience working with employees geographically dispersed.
USD 117,300.00 - 195,500.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
