About this opportunity:
Ericsson Lab Operation HW Mgmt, is now looking for a person to join our global HW Investment Management team. The position is placed at the Ericsson Budapest office in Infopark.
RCE Lab Operations HW Management is a global asset management function responsible for the investment set-up, procurement, operation, maintenance and decommission of the HW residing within Ericsson's R&D labs across the globe. We improve the value of the HW investments through our processes, tools and data driven approach to enable the best HW utilization and business decisions for our stakeholders.
We are part of BNEW RCE Lab Operations, a unit in Business Area Networks.
The purpose of Lab Operations is to provide world class lab infrastructure, networks and HW Services to the R&D organizations. Through our standardized solutions and services, we enable our stakeholders to configure and deploy their design and test environment. Lab Operations provide global service deliveries from Operations sites in Sweden - Kista, Rosersberg, Linköping - and many Regional Labs globally.
What you will do:
  • Your major tasks will be asset management and order handling e2e.
  • You will be a part of one of our 4 global HW IM teams mirroring how the Ericsson R&D organizations are set-up. We are a truly divers team, your collegues as well as our stakeholders are to be found globally.
  • Working closely with our stakeholders you will support and guide in the different phases of the R&D organizations HW investments.
  • We handle everything from the correct set-up of an investment request and asset creation to quote requests, ordering, follow up of orders and invoice handling.
  • Solving issues regarding all the above are also a part of the tasks.
  • The requests are all submitted through our ticketing tool, but personal interaction is of cause also required, both in personal and digital meetings as we are working in a fully digital hybrid environment.
  • Report creation from our different tools and presentations of the same to different Lab Operations functions as well as stakeholders will be a part of the work.
  • You will cooperate not only with your colleagues in the HW IM teams and the rest of the HWM teams but also with functions like Finance, Sourcing, suppliers, Legal and Insurance among others.
  • As we are committed to deliver high quality information in all aspects of HW Management we are in the process of productifying our procurement and work together with our stakeholders towards product standardization whenever possible.
  • The HWI team play a very important part in this work as well as in the improvement work of processes and tools functions in our area. You are expected to be an active part in this constant strive.

The skills you bring:
  • Social skills and interest in cooperating with and learning from colleagues, peers, and stakeholders in the Ericsson community.
  • Business acumen, preferably from B2B, to detect and understand business needs and requirements.
  • Good understanding of the investment process and principles regarding asset creation and financial life cycle mgmt.
  • University degree in Economy, Logistics, Sourcing or any equivalent or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience of order handling; customer service; procurement; sourcing; sales in IT/tech B2B.
  • Experience from multi-national global organizations.
  • Fluently in English (writing and speaking), Office 365.
  • Ericsson experience as well as SAP knowledge is a plus.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will supervise our ongoing inventory of organizational software and hardware assets. Your expertise will guide our IT purchases and redistribution strategies, optimizing resources and efficiency. As a frontrunner, you will contribute to reducing incremental risk and associated costs of implementing IT portfolio infrastructure projects. Your role will involve developing and sustaining processes, policies, standards, systems, and measurements, so our organization effectively and cost-efficiently manages its software and technology-related hardware assets in the contexts of both day-to-day and long-term scenarios, following our IT Governance and business performance goals.
What you will do:- Oversee the daily and long-term operational and strategic management of hardware and software assets.- Administer activities related to software license models, encompassing planning, monitoring, and recording of hardware asset compliance with vendor contracts.- Establish and maintain hardware and software maintenance within the database.- Ensure the effective oversight of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its accuracy.- Manage user access rights to all assets.- Implement key performance indicators that identify poorly utilized assets and suggest continuous improvements.- Identify and publicize surplus assets within Ericsson for potential re-use.
