Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Consulting Solutions (ICS) business, a part of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Client Segments, provides consulting services and solutions to institutional investors, including corporations, foundations, endowments, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, insurer, and Taft-Hartley funds. We work directly with Financial Advisors/Consultants and other key partners across the Firm to drive asset growth and scalable, centralized infrastructure, service models and tooling to ensure best in class support for this growing and complex business.

Position Summary:

This individual will work as part of the ICS business development team and support sales efforts end to end including lead generation, tracking in CRM and incorporating Morgan Stanley Artificial Intelligence tools into lead and pipeline process and ideating new ways to scale these channels in partnership with our specialist Advisors. Daily support in Coverage Central, CMS, DocuSign tasks and frequent ad-hoc data and metric requests are also in scope.

Specific Responsibilities Include:             

  • Ensure CRM tracking prospecting and pipeline is kept up-to-date and able to be utilized to best match new leads to specialists as well as to track sales and predict progress against KPIs.
  • Conduct data analysis or use Morgan Stanley AI tools in order to identify new leads or cross sell opportunities and provide insights to the ICS Business Development team or Advisors to action against.
  • Create regular Graystone Business Development and Corporate Cash/Government Entity team updates and share the lead generation, proactive pipeline management and scaling efforts through the quantification of both leading and lagging indicators of the business.
  • Periodically present to senior leadership on business metrics, lead generation referral tracking and follow up and Integrated Firm progress.
  • Conduct new lead or opportunity scrubs inclusive of Coverage Central/MSIM Cash coverage checks.
  • Support Salesforce entries for relevant opportunities and contract facilitation via DocuSign assistance.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with institutional client coverage, and/or data driven analysis.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint (storytelling, executive-ready materials).
  • Experience with AI data and reporting tools such as Dataiku, Tableau, and/or Teradata (or comparable platforms)
  • Knowledge of investment consulting or similar financial field preferred
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software like Salesforce
  • Quick learner with the ability to learn database front end (i.e. Dataiku)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone coverage
  • Strong time management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills
  • Detail oriented with superior organization skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
