IAM Operations Lead

Location: Hyderabad, India

Join Lonza’s Cyber Security and Digital organization as an IAM Operations Lead, where you will play a critical role in protecting enterprise identities and access across a global technology landscape. This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team responsible for Identity and Access Management operations, security incident response, process governance, and continuous improvement initiatives that support Lonza’s global business.

This is an office-first role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do
  • Lead a team of IAM specialists responsible for operational excellence across SailPoint, Active Directory, Azure AD, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and certificate management services.
  • Drive the response, investigation, and resolution of IAM-related security incidents, ensuring timely remediation and implementation of preventive measures.
  • Oversee IAM operations including user provisioning, access lifecycle management, entitlement governance, problem management, patching, and service performance monitoring.
  • Partner with IAM and MyAccess teams to identify process improvement opportunities, strengthen governance controls, and support application onboarding activities.
  • Promote identity standardization and the adoption of security principles such as Least Privilege, Zero Trust, and role-based access controls across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure secure and compliant identity services while maintaining alignment with security frameworks and standards.
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, training, and clear operational leadership while fostering a culture of accountability, security, and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
  • Demonstrated experience leading Identity and Access Management operations within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong expertise in IAM technologies including SailPoint, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and certificate management platforms.
  • Proven experience managing security incidents, root cause investigations, vulnerability remediation, and operational service delivery.
  • Solid understanding of IAM governance, access lifecycle management, identity security principles, and industry frameworks such as NIST.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders, technical teams, security professionals, and business leaders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
