MINI-LINK is Ericsson's industry-leading solution for microwave transmission in radio transport networks, trusted by 880 customers across 180 countries and deployed in every climate zone on the planet. With more than 5 million microwave radio units delivered to date, MINI-LINK stands as one of the most successful and far-reaching product portfolios in the telecommunications industry.
Our Microwave organization within the Budapest R&D Center is setting up a new HW development team for MINI-LINK product family to further expand our already existing capabilities in Sweden. We are now seeking a skilled and motivated Power electronics developer to join our team and play a key technical leadership role in the design and development of electronics that power this globally trusted product.
What you will do:
- Work with analogue power design like input protection and DC converters to provide sufficient power levels to digital components on printed circuit boards.
- Design the start up, ramp down, supervision and sequencing to handle the requirements and wanted behaviour of all consumers at the printed circuit board.
- Simulate and verify power functions to validate design decisions and secure compliance
- Developing test benches and automation scripts to support efficient and scalable verification processes
- Integrating power electronics functions with other hardware and software domains to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions
The skills you bring:
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field, preferably including Power Electronics courses
- Deep knowledge of digital and analog power electronics development, including methodology, ways of working, and industry-standard tools
- Hands-on experience with board schematic and layout design, power electronics systemization, simulation tools, lab verification, and high-volume production
- A solid understanding of hardware and software architecture and the broader MINI-LINK system
- Awareness of the digital and analog component market and its key suppliers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead technically within a complex, multi-team environment
- The ability to deliver high-quality results both independently and as a technical leader, balancing time, effort, and priorities effectively
- A results-oriented mindset with high engagement
