Role Description

The HR Operations Manager in our People team will help scale our HR infrastructure to meet the growing needs of our business and people. You will lead and partner on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational processes and systems that support the full employee lifecycle—from recruiting  to offboarding. 

This role ensures our HR operations are compliant, secure, data-driven, and built to scale, while also providing a seamless employee experience. This is a hands-on individual contributor role partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and building the foundation of our core HR functions including compensation, benefits, HRIS, payroll, and compliance.  This role will report to Vice President, Talent Management. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and perform end-to-end implementation and administration of core HR operations (e.g., payroll through PEO, compensation, benefits, performance management, L&D).
  • Optimize scalable HR processes across the employment lifecycle
  • Develop and implement methodologies, templates, and toolkits to support operational excellence.
  • Provide expert employee relations guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead HR projects from planning through execution, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Administer and optimize the HRIS ensuring accurate and secure employee data.
  • Maintain privacy, security, and compliance standards for employee data and ensure required reporting and filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for senior leadership on service delivery, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Track and report on key HR metrics and trends, identifying insights to inform strategy and improve the employee experience.
  • Act as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Qualifications

Required:
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Operations and leadership experience 
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., JustWorks, Lattice,  EasyLlama, or equivalent) and HR analytics tools
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement, HR service delivery, and project management
  • Tech-savvy and systems-oriented, with a passion for building and scaling infrastructure
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certifications preferred) or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting performance review cycles or benefits open enrollment end-to-end.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, high-growth startup, or other regulated industry environments.
  • Entrepreneurial DNA: a ‘builder’ mentality with the ability to operate effectively in high-ambiguity environments where processes may not be fully fleshed out.

Skills Required
