The HR Generalist supports recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day HR administration, with a primary focus on coordinating the agency’s recruitment and hiring process. This position partners with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process and serves as a primary HR contact for candidates and new employees. The HR Generalist also provides administrative support for employee referrals, wage increases, HR audits, employee engagement programs, and other HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing and communication, interviews, offers, references, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Partner with hiring managers to support effective interviewing, candidate evaluation, and consistent hiring practices; coordinate completion of interview evaluations and feedback.
- Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), recruitment records, application materials, and other required hiring documentation.
- Coordinate new-hire paperwork, orientation, required training, and onboarding activities, and serve as a resource to new employees throughout their first year.
- Provide administrative support for employee recognition, engagement, benefits, and other HR programs and projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Services or related field highly preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required. PHR Certification preferred.
- One year prior recruitment or general HR admin experience required.
- A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Must pass company background and reference checks
