Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including primary care, allied health, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.
In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention Network (IDN). Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees.
Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) delivers both strategic and operational HR support to business leaders, ensuring people and culture initiatives align with broader organisational goals. As a trusted advisor, the HRBP drives workforce planning, employee engagement, and change management activities while proactively managing and reducing Human Resource related risks.
Day to day!
- Ensure effective communication strategies are delivered across the business, supporting positive change management and employee engagement and retention
- Effectively manage industrial and employee relations matters ensuring legislative and policy compliance while mitigating risk
- Design and deliver core people and culture programmes, policies and procedures to strengthen culture and build organisational capability
- Support leadership and talent development across the organisation
- Provide advice, coaching and support to managers and employees on a range of HR related issues in a consistent and timely manner

This role requires strong knowledge of industrial relations frameworks and legislation, along with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Strategic thinking, problem‑solving ability, strong communication and negotiation skills are essential. The ability to build collaborative relationships, and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality is also critical.
You will bring extensive experience in HR business partnering within a complex environment, supported by proven strengths in stakeholder management, change management, and organisational development. You will also have a strong understanding of HR systems and the ability to leverage data analytics for reporting.
You should hold a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field, with a relevant postgraduate qualification considered desirable.
