Tri-City Group is seeking a Human Resources Assistant for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. The Human Resources Assistant supports all administrative duties related to new hires, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records.
Essential Functions
- Performs clerical duties such as emailing, handling paperwork, filing, and making phone calls
- Helps maintain the department’s high degree of organization and efficiency
- Ensures all necessary onboarding and offboarding documents are completed and filed appropriately
- Assists in preparation of onboarding materials
- Assists Compliance and Claims Coordinator to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Ensures compliance with data privacy and internal policies
- Maintains and updates employee records in HR systems, both digital and physical
- Assists with employee engagement events
- Handles routine inquiries and assists the Senior Human Resources Administrator with resolving workplace issues
- Responsible for assisting with applicant documentation and retention
- Attends and participates in job fairs, recruiting sessions, and other career events as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Maintenance of a good attendance record is a condition of employment at Tri-City Group. We expect all employees to be regular and reliable. Excessive absenteeism and excessive adjustment of your standard work schedule are unacceptable per our company's expectations.
Travel expectations: Limited travel to career fairs is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or Business-Related Field
- 1-5 years of HR experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
