Function: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Role Purpose:
The HSE Risk & Controls Analyst supports BlackRock’s global Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program by strengthening contractor safety, vendor due diligence, risk management, and compliance monitoring. This role contributes to maintaining a robust Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring regulatory and internal control alignment, audit readiness, and effective risk reporting across office and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct HSE due diligence for vendors and contractors/sub-contractors, including onboarding and periodic oversight assessments using Process Unity.
- Support the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of contractor safety programs across office and facility sites. Track and monitor contractor compliance with internal HSE requirements and applicable regulatory obligations.

- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the HSE Integrated Management System aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 principles. Ensure effective version control, document accessibility, and audit readiness of all HSE records while assisting with document control activities, including SOP reviews, policy updates, and management of controlled HSE documentation on Service Now.
- Support in-house risk assessments aligned with regulatory requirements for office operations and facilities while logging them on Service Now for tracking corrective actions raised against gaps identified. Review reports/result of risk assessments/audits conducted by third-party consultants to analyze audit findings and identify gaps or non-compliances. Create and track corrective and preventive action plans while following up with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of audit observations
- Assist with programs focused on identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and recommending control measures and track closure of findings. This includes supporting reviews of monthly and annual HSE inspections for office buildings and facilities and logging corrective actions against non-conformances. Developing risk assessments process for homogenous groups & venerable groups identified.
- Support development of monthly HSE risk & control reports and share them with business managers regularly.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of HSE management systems (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001)
- Knowledge of contractor safety management and vendor risk assessment
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and review audits, and compliance documentation
- Analytical skills for data reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis
- Strong attention to detail and documentation control
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with digital tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is an advantage
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in HSE, risk management, or compliance roles
- Certification in ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 (Lead Auditor/Implementer preferred)
- Experience in corporate office / facility management environments is preferred
