Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager with ADNOC approval to join our knowledgeable HSE team one of our Oil & Gas projects in UAE.
The HSE Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance within our oil and gas operations, ensuring alignment with ADNOC regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems in line with ADNOC requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary to ensure a culture of safety excellence.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards throughout all phases of project execution.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry organizations, and stakeholders to stay updated on HSE-related regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Prepare and submit reports, statistics, and documentation as required by ADNOC and other regulatory bodies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSE performance, efficiency, and effectiveness across the organization.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among employees, contractors, and subcontractors through training, communication, and engagement programs.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering OR Science OR HSE Discipline (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue)
Work Experience:
• Minimum 12-15 years' experience in HSE in construction, fabrication installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or Petro-Chemical industries, with at least 5 years' experience in a lead HSE position managing team of HSE professionals.
Minimum one of the following:
• NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent (Subject to approval by ADNOC Group)
• Any other HSE certifications (considered at ADNOC Group discretion)
Mandatory:
• Lead auditor ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 or equivalent.
• Incident Investigation technique.
• Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage
Experience Details:
• Have a previous approval from ADNOC ONSHORE
• Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioural aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
• Able to lead a team of HSE professionals such as HSE Engineers, Sr. HSE officers, HSE officers etc.
• Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
• Broad knowledge and experience in audit processes.
• Competency in SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
• Ability to develop HSE plans, Emergency response procedures/plans.
• Ability to analyse incidents and apply root cause analysis techniques.
• Awareness of H2S hazards and control measures.
• Ability to speak, read & write English with good communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering, science, or HSE discipline from an authorized institution
- 12–15 years of HSE experience in construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning, or operations within oil and gas or petrochemical industries
- At least 5 years in a lead HSE position managing HSE professionals
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification approved by ADNOC Group
- Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 or equivalent
- Incident investigation training or demonstrated incident investigation competency
- Previous ADNOC ONSHORE approval
- Strong understanding of HSE issues, practices, and behavioral aspects in oil and gas EPC operations
- Experience leading HSE Engineers, Senior HSE Officers, and HSE Officers
- Knowledge of HSE management systems and legislative requirements
- Broad knowledge and experience in audit processes
- Competency in SSOW, including PTW, WMS, and risk assessment
- Ability to develop HSE plans and emergency response procedures or plans
- Ability to analyze incidents and apply root cause analysis techniques
- Awareness of H2S hazards and control measures
- Strong English speaking, reading, and writing skills
