The Workday Analyst is responsible for supporting the configuration, testing, and optimization of Workday to meet the organization’s evolving HR and business needs. This role partners closely with Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Team Member Engagement, IT and external vendors to ensure data transmission, integrity, process efficiency, and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with hands-on experience in Workday configuration, reporting, and basic integration knowledge.

This position follows a hybrid work model. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Livonia, Michigan Monday through Thursday and work remotely on Fridays.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure and test Workday modules to support key annual processes such as Open Enrollment, Merit Cycles, and Performance Reviews.
  • Manage updates and changes to Workday business processes to align with evolving organizational requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the HRIS inbox, providing timely and accurate support.
  • Create and maintain custom and standard Workday reports to meet business and compliance needs.
  • Execute Workday release testing and validation to ensure system stability and functionality.
  • Serve as a liaison between HRIS and business users to identify HR processes running outside Workday and lead efforts to transition them into the system.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing data loads using EIBs for mass changes or data updates.
  • Support projects requiring Workday system configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Demonstrate beginner-level knowledge of Workday integrations and assist with related troubleshooting and coordination.
  • Train internal HR operations team members as needed

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or 2+ years of experience working in a Workday configuration or analyst role.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM functionality, including business processes, reporting, and EIBs.
  • Basic understanding of Workday integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into system requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with Kronos timekeeping systems and ability to support related processes is a plus.
  • Experience with Skills Cloud, Workday Peakon and Help is preferred.

Starting range is $75-110k commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus program.
