As a Talent Management Director, you will be:

Responsible for owning, strategically designing, and implementing enterprise-wide, scalable Performance & Succession Management solutions, processes and programs that enable the business to achieve strategic priorities. You will work closely with senior leaders, people leaders, associates, and internal/external partners to enhance talent and mature talent programs and processes. This position is Individual Contributor role owning delivery of the succession and performance management programs for OneAmerica.

  • Lead complex initiatives to advance competence, capabilities, and performance of the OneAmerica enterprise at all levels through leading performance management and succession planning strategies, programs, and tools.
  • Spearhead and deliver programs, processes, services, training, and other interventions that are aligned with strategic priorities and proven theory and practice. Stays current with trends in the talent management domain.
  • Develop strategically aligned, enterprise-wide organizational talent capabilities by designing and implementing frameworks, methodology, infrastructure, tools, competencies, and metrics needed for managing talent to achieve expected business outcomes.
  • Develop multi-faceted approaches to tiered talent pipeline strategies with clearly articulated paths and resources.
  • Lead initiatives to analyze and close enterprise-wide associate knowledge, skill, and capability gaps.
  • Consult with senior leaders, HR leadership, HR Business Partners, and other key stakeholders to assess OneAmerica's and stakeholder's talent needs.
  • Lead special projects with enterprise-wide scope and high impact on business outcomes including research, detailed planning and execution of initiatives and systems (e.g., Empowerment with Accountability, Talent Management System, role profiles, career pathing, role profiles, development initiatives, etc.).



Your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree is the minimum education required
  • Master's degree is preferred (related fields: Human Resources, MBA, I/O Psychology, Leadership Development)
  • HR/Talent-related certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPLP)
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in talent management, succession planning, performance management, and executive coaching
  • You have proven experience developing and facilitating large-scale programs and interventions within organizations
  • Application of OD, adult learning principles, instructional design, and a variety of learning modalities to design and deliver talent programs and solutions is essential
  • You can easily adapt and work with a variety of situations and people
  • Strong experience managing complex enterprise-wide programs and processes
  • Track record of using verbal and written communication to influence stakeholder groups
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background



Salary Band: 07B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
