Summary:

The Senior Workday/HR Technology Analyst will serve as subject matter expert for Workday and act as a key resource of HR Technology team. Responsible for support and configuration of Allison's HR Systems, you will work closely with HR Leaders, business partners, recruiters, and others at Allison Transmission to create, support and enhance configurations, security and reports within Workday, as well as other, adopted HR Technologies. You will utilize your knowledge and skills to effect positive change in all areas of Workday, including security administration, business process design; HCM, compensation, recruiting, talent, performance, time reporting, time off and absence configurations; end-user experience, reporting and analysis. Additionally, as a team leader, you are responsible for day-to-day work management, task assignment, status reporting, training recommendations, and general, team coordination tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday setup, data integrity, business process design, security, report writing and data analysis
  • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, condition/eligibility rules, calculated fields, security, and other Workday configurations (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Time, Absence, Recruiting, Talent/Performance and Learning)
  • Lead Workday enhancements, including suggesting and prototyping new functionality
  • Support complex, short and long-term HR Projects
  • Develop user-procedures, guidelines and documentation on new processes and functionality
  • Planning key activities, including testing, for releases, implementation of new and enhanced functionality, and integration with downstream systems
  • Partner with the Information Technology team to provide support to organizational projects
  • Conduct research, lead projects, and participate as a hands-on contributor towards the successful implementation of various HR initiatives
  • Serve as Workday Named Support Contact
  • Maintain knowledge of HR business practices and technology to provide an advanced level of support to end-users
  • Provide immediate assistance when application issues prevent timely completion of critical operations
  • Demonstrate high-level problem solving techniques to identify issues and take corrective actions to resolve
  • Coordinate with external vendors in support of Workday and other HR Technologies
  • Plan for and maintain the HR technical work backlog and provide status reports to leadership team
  • Other duties, as assigned



Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience supporting ERP/HR applications
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Analyst, IT Analyst, or similar role
  • 4+ years of experience administering Workday configurations and business processes preferred
  • Experience with Workday report writing preferred
  • History of Workday training preferred (special consideration for Pro or Implementer certification)
  • Proficient in Workday and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with internal and external customers
  • Ability to lead work efforts of a small team of professionals
  • Task or project management experience preferred
