Senior Talent Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Senior Talent Manager to join our Management Team and own 1 (or more) highly impactful enterprise-wide talent management initiatives and programs that enable our leaders to continuously drive higher levels of engagement and performance through an integrated set of strategic talent practices. This portfolio will evolve over time.
While candidates being within a commutable distance to one of our Chewy hubs is preferred (Bellevue WA, Boston, MA, Minneapolis MN, Plantation FL), remote candidates will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will take an enterprise-wide mindset to their work. They will structure solutions that will enhance the end-user experience and will build productive and collaborative relationships across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with the Head of Talent Management to successfully identify, recognize, and build our talent pipeline through performance management systems such as performance reviews, promotion processes and internal mobility initiatives.
- Build trusting relationships and partner closely with HR COEs and HRBPs to understand needs and propose relevant and impactful solutions.
- Define ways to measure the success of these initiatives/offerings that demonstrably improve Chewy’s abilities to attract, engage, retain, and develop high-performing talent.
- Assist leadership in developing presentations, reports, creating visually appealing communications/marketing strategies, internal updates, intranet stories/posts, and other materials to keep team members engaged throughout the year.
- Develop and maintain various guides, materials and presentations for a variety of audiences.
- Lead ongoing enhancement and execution of core talent practices, including but not limited to – performance management, talent reviews and succession planning.
- Partner closely with HR COEs and HRBPs to develop an integrated approach to talent initiatives (hiring, internal mobility, succession planning, development, etc.) to create a full talent ecosystem.
- Be a true culture champion—continuously assess how best to incorporate Chewy’s Operating Principles into everyday talent practices and business activities.
- Embed DEI into all processes and parts of performance management to drive a consistently equitable and inclusive culture.
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the Talent space.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work and communicate constructively with all levels of the organization (Department leaders, managers, individual contributors, talent peers).
- Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning and prioritization.
- Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated and highly enthusiastic.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining productive internal/external relationships across functions.
- Experience managing complex projects and with designing and managing various talent development initiatives.
- Data analysis, reporting and summarizing data for key stakeholders.
- Managing workflows for self and others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders while maintaining focus on key priorities despite conflicting demands.
- Experience with change management and process improvement.
Bonus:
- Development and delivery of talent programs in a decentralized environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; concentration in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Team Effectiveness or Continuous Improvement highly preferred.
- Specific experience in strategically oriented HR or Talent Management roles a plus.
- Demonstrated culture transformation in a matrix environment.
