Sr. Associate Success Business Partner (aka HR Advisor)

Overview:

As a Sr. HR Advisor you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management for your assigned business units. This position serves as a consultant to management on associate success (human resource) related issues and acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. This position partners across the Associate Success (HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Advisor also maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its mid-to-long range plans, culture and competition.

Responsibilities:

  • Consults with leaders and provides guidance on all people matters, tying them back to the business strategy.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the Associate Success team to develop solutions, programs and policies that drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Provides guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, communication, employee engagement, and increase employee productivity and retention.
  • Assists in driving various Associate Success initiatives: performance management, goal setting, merit review process, and manager and associate career development, etc
  • Partners with the Talent Management team to identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching opportunities.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with various Associate Success (HR) functional teams (Global Mobility, Comp & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, etc) and other departments (Payroll, Finance, etc.) in order to meet the various needs of the organization.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, when needed.
  • Provides Associate Success process and policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Capable of respectfully challenging and providing regular constructive feedback to business leaders on any issue.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related business field
  • 5-7 years of proven work experience as an HR Advisor, Generalist or Partner.
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Experience working with senior leaders and associates that are located remotely
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment and work with both internal and external customers
  • Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
  • Negotiation, project management and change management skills
  • Knowledge of employment/labor law
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience in the software industry a plus
  • Experience working within a SaaS Technology organization preferred
