ABOUT THE ROLE:

For the newly created role within our People & Culture department, we are looking for a passionate and driven Head of People Operations to join our People Team.

As the Head of People Operations, you will play a key role in building structure and facilitating organization during the hyper-growth phase of Talon.one. You will be responsible for managing our global People Operations team and our full employee life-cycle, including onboarding, internal operations and employee experience.


ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:

  • Be a leader, an expert and a coach while developing, growing and advancing the People Operations Team 
  • Be responsible for strategic planning, change management, building people programs & processes, as well as Employee & Labor Relations, etc.
  • Support and consultation across the business on the most complex issues like compensation and benefits, policy interpretation, and navigating other sensitive topics
  • Address and resolve employee questions, concerns, or complaints quickly, amicably, and with empathy by applying advanced knowledge of Workforce/Labor law across locations, HR processes, and objective judgment
  • Lead projects on the development of new processes to keep the People Support Team scale with Talon.one’s growth on regional and global level
  • Anticipate business needs, diagnose problems, identify and drive appropriate HR solutions - analyzing trends and in a data-driven way
  • Represent Talon.One at Internal and External Audits and prepare reporting


WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • You've ideally done this before—you have experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change as your companion.
  • You have 5+ years of experience working as a Operations Manager, People Partner, HR Manager or similar role focused on People Operations Management (HR Administration); and min. of 1 year of experience with leading or coordinating Operations Team  
  • A clear understanding of HR Operations practices and legal requirements; experience in running and initiating HR projects.
  • Working knowledge of the critical components of a successful People Operations department including employment law, performance management, employee engagement, training, maintaining employee files, and managing operational budgets.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, processes, and compliance.
  • Very good understanding of German Labor Law is must as well as excellent level of fluency in German and English 
  • Clear, strong verbal communication and consulting skills. 
  • Strong problem solving, reporting and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to relocate/work in Germany (ideally based in Berlin).
