Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

Employee Experience programs are a key driver of culture, connection and community within Twilio. One specific program, the Hub Council Program, has been designed to help provide a consistent and inclusive employee experience for all Twilions, regardless of how and where our employees choose to work. As an Employee Experience Specialist, you will support a globally distributed team to ensure the smooth implementation of the Hub Council Program and execution of its deliverables. This role acts as a subject-matter expert for the program through the creation and documentation of best practices and program toolkits.

  • Develop a set of best practices for the implementation of the hub program globally.
  • Create toolkits for the execution of the program's activities aimed at driving belonging for all Twilions.
  • Offer guidance to local leadership to enable them to deliver opportunities for building connections through both virtual and in-person programming.
  • Act as a point of contact for all program related queries including procurement, policy, finance and security.
  • Manage the program budget, including challenging costs, approving expenses and reporting on actual versus budgeted program spend.
  • Compile and design all content for the recurring collaborator sessions.
  • Advise on all safety and security protocols for in-person program related events globally
  • Recognize and highlight program related success stories via Twilio’s internal communication platforms
  • Establish a process to benchmark the effectiveness of the program

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • Experience in employee experience or program management at a high-growth, fast pace organization, ideally in tech.
  • Experience owning programs from concept to completion and developing program frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills, with a talent for building trusting relationships.
  • Experience partnering with collaborators within a cross-functional matrixed environment.
  • Clear understanding of employee experience and how it drives culture, productivity, and retention.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team, with ability to adapt quickly and maneuver in a constantly changing environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a global, diverse team and environment.

Desired:

  • Experience in internal communications.
  • Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Jamboard.
