Illuminate USA is seeking an experienced HR Technology Manager to lead the day-to-day management, configuration, and optimization of our HR systems, with a primary focus on Workday. Reporting to the Director of HR, this role will oversee system operations, enhancements, and user support while partnering closely with IT and HR stakeholders to ensure scalable and efficient people processes. This position plays a key role in enabling strong system governance, adoption, and continuous improvement to support the associate experience and business operations.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead HR systems management and integration efforts in partnership with IT, with a primary focus on Workday. 

  • Support the execution and continuous enhancement of the HRIS and HR Technology roadmap in alignment with business and operational priorities. 

  • Lead and develop the HR Technology team responsible for system configuration, enhancements, and day-to-day system support. 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement and continuously improve the Learning Management System (LMS). 

  • Oversee the configuration, governance, and optimization of Workday to enhance usability and process efficiency. 

  • Drive system adoption through education and enablement to ensure accurate and timely execution of core people processes including time and absence, payroll, benefits, compensation, and talent processes. 

  • Ensure strong data governance, system security, and compliance within HR platforms. 

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather system requirements and implement scalable solutions that meet business needs. 

  • Evaluate system effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve functionality and user experience. 

  • Stay current on HR technology trends and best practices to support continuous improvement. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. 

  • 6–8 years of experience in HR systems management, including 2–3 years of team leadership experience. 

  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday configuration, security, and integrations. 

  • Experience partnering with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to support HR systems. 

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, system security, and compliance within HR systems. 

  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization. 

  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
