The HR Technology and Integrations Architect is a technical expert in a subspecialty within the HR Technology field. The position is responsible for technical configuration and development of systems, processes, and functionality within the University’s enterprise HR applications. The role is also responsible for developing and supporting integrations between HR applications and related University applications.
The HR Technology Architect will play a key role in break/fix support, small technical initiatives, and enterprise-wide HR technology projects. The role must provide detailed technical expertise relative to technological capabilities, limitations, application security, configuration, and data transfer alternatives.
HR Technology and Integration Architects will partner with functional and technical resources on various project teams to deliver solutions across campus. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining internal service standards and acting as an expert resource for the systems he or she supports.
The incumbent should be fluent in commonly used integration techniques and programming languages such as C, Java, XML and XSLT.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Adhere to documentation and control procedures for design, configuration, testing and migration of technical solutions. Support university data access and privacy standards.
Collaborate with functional resources, process owners, and HR Business analysts on test scenario design, unit testing, system / end-to-end testing execution.
Collaborate with project teams and process owners to ensure delivery of optimal solutions within the specified timeframes.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrate excellent organization, time management and planning skills.
Demonstrate excellent problem solving, analytical and reasoning skills.
Designing solutions based on requirements gathered by HR Business Analysts or other colleagues within the HR Technology team to optimize the management of human resources at the university.
Document and execute cut-over and migration of technical solutions from test environments to production environments.
Document and execute detailed solution designs, including technical configuration and reporting requirements, security configuration, and scheduling.
Monitor features that are provided via regular HR application upgrades and facilitate the vetting, configuration, testing, and implementation of new releases.
Preferred: 2 years of experience with configuration of Workday HCM or similar applications; Experience with reporting and integrations tools including Studio, Workday Core Connector, Cloud Connector Benefits, Workday Web Services SOAP & REST; Experience supporting Human Resource technologies in a higher education setting.
Review and recommend solution options to facilitate optimal system functionality. Offer feedback and suggestions to functional stakeholders if requirements fail to comply with best practice or standards.
