The Job:
As a Human Resources Specialist , you’ll be part of our Industrial Team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:
• Serve as first point of contact for employee HR inquiries and workplace concerns
• Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
• Support hiring managers with requisition processes and workforce planning
• Facilitate offer letters, background checks, and pre-employment processes
• Support onboarding and orientation programs for new hires
• Administer timekeeping system (e.g., UKG/Kronos or similar)
• Review timecards for accuracy and compliance with California wage & hour laws
• Support payroll processing and resolve pay discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with:
• Meal and rest break requirements
• Overtime regulations
• Premium pay obligations
• Final pay requirements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates
• Support internal audits and documentation requirements (e.g., ISO/AS9100/NADCAP environments)
• Maintain I-9 compliance and employment records
• Assist with leaves of absence administration (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, Workers’ Comp)
• Maintain employee records in HRIS
• Prepare HR metrics and dashboards (turnover, headcount, absenteeism, PTO utilization, etc.)
• Support workforce analytics and reporting for leadership
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment
• Coordinate training schedules and compliance training requirements
• Support safety training tracking in partnership with EH&S
• Assist with performance management processes
The Person:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace environments
• Working knowledge of California labor laws and wage & hour regulations
• Experience with HRIS and timekeeping/payroll systems
• Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

The base pay range for this position in California,$ 57,400.00 - 80,300.00. per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
