As an HR Specialist, you will handle day-to-day HR transactions and complex cases: managing the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding in our HR systems. You'll ensure high-quality customer experience, accurate, and timely service while maintaining our global HR standards. Beyond daily operations, you'll prepare payroll input, coordinate with external partners, manage documentation, and serve as the trusted first point of contact for employees. In this role, you're not just processing paperwork, you're ensuring compliance, shaping employee experiences, and building the foundation that keeps our organization running efficiently.
What you'll do:
Own full-cycle HR administration: from onboarding and employee changes to offboarding, managing all documentation (digital and paper)
Maintain accurate employee records in our HR systems (Workday, SAP) while ensuring full compliance with Hungarian labor law and GDPR
Prepare payroll input monthly and coordinate with our payroll partners, taking a key role in this critical process
Support employees as a first point of contact, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and documentation
Contribute to HR projects and help develop clear, efficient process guidelines
Work with modern tools and leverage AI to continuously improve how we work
Identify opportunities to automate and optimize HR workflows - we encourage you to bring fresh ideas
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in HR, Business, Economics, or related field
Minimum 1–3 years of HR administration or HR operations experience in a corporate/multinational setting
Solid knowledge of Hungarian labor law and HR administration practices, with hands-on experience in employment documentation and the full employee lifecycle
Fluent Hungarian and strong English skills (written and spoken)
Advanced MS Office proficiency, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, data management) and Word
Hands-on experience with Workday or SAP (and an eagerness to learn and grow across both platforms)
Exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and a structured, solution-oriented mindset
Excellent communication skills, genuine service orientation toward employees and stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
Open-minded about leveraging technology and AI tools to improve processes
You are EU national or hold Hungarian VISA/work permit
What's in it for you?
Enjoy a stable employment in a company with a long history in innovation and technology
We value people from different backgrounds
Collaborate with experienced experts in an international environment
Seize individual development and training opportunities, from job specific to soft skills
We have an outstanding benefits package (annual bonus, private health insurance, corporate laptop, phone, cafeteria, extra vacation days, home office support)
You can work from our modern office building on Váci Road, and from home 2-3 times a week
Every Tuesday, we have fresh fruit waiting for you, and you can choose from various coffee and tea options in our office kitchen
We also have plenty of community events, whether it's darts club, board games, or group cycling – and of course, the annual Christmas party and ABB Day are not to be missed!
In ABB HR our mission is to help ABB stand out when it comes to our people - from leadership, performance and talent management to rewards and career growth. Our goal is to be an employer of choice and deliver excellent experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.
Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative. That's why we welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences.
