This position is a cross functional role responsible for responding to employee questions and inquiries about benefit programs and human resources policies as well as performing data integrity audits of HR systems. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Understands business processes and work flows in Workday.

  • Provides assistance with disability, health, and life benefits, paid time off, and retirement plans.
  • Prepares appropriate documentation and processes necessary paperwork.
  • Inputs transfers, salary and miscellaneous deduction changes for employee records in the payroll system.
  • Processes forgivable loans per promissory notes.
  • Processes other input or items such as gift cards, moving expenses, trips, referral bonuses, educational assistance applications and other expenses.
  • Verifies entries in payroll system to ensure information is correct before final payroll run.
  • Processes benefits enrollment paperwork for payroll deduction into system for all new employees.
  • Inputs benefits election changes into payroll system for employees with qualifying events.
  • May calculate and enter Short Term Disability benefits according to forms provided by Benefits Department to ensure correct payment.
  • Discusses discrepancies with Benefits Departments.
  • Tracks all business processes for stranded transactions, runs and reviews data audit reports to ensure integrity of data, completes required data entry or maintenance as needed, monitors HR integration error reports and makes data corrections as needed.
  • Responds to business partners regarding missing data to ensure process flows for benefit programs, compliance and human resources policies.
  • Handles various levels of inquires concerning compensation, position management, payroll and benefits administration.
  • Provides first line of contact for employees, external vendors, trust department, and other plan administrators via telephone.
  • Researches and resolves basic inquiries regarding payroll activity, tax withholdings, and basic inquiries regarding employee data.
  • Handles other duties in HR service center as assigned.

Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Minimum 2 years of administrative support in high volume office environment.

Advanced PC skills including spreadsheets and various word processing applications.

Proficient with MS Office Software.

Working knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and general accounting principles.

Strong mathematics and reconciliation skills as well as basic accounting skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organization skills.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Ability to organize multiple activities which require close attention to detail.

Good analytical skills.

Strong Workday knowledge of business processes.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required in order to deal effectively and professionally with outside vendors and employees.
