Your role
The HR People Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day HR operations and processes within the organisation. This role is crucial in supporting the growth and development of the scale-up, ensuring efficient HR practices are in place to attract, retain, and engage talent.
The role reports directly to the CEO and has a dotted line to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations Management:
o Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with local labour laws and regulations.
o Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle processes, including contracts, documentation, and compliance.
o Oversee and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave management.
o Maintain HR-related databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality and identify opportunities for improvement.
o Collaborate with external vendors for payroll, benefits, and HR services, managing contracts and relationships.
o Coaching and mentoring and overseeing the work of one people officer (benefits administration and payroll focus)
Performance Management and Employee Development:
o Oversee and improve the performance management processes.
o Be a champion of the Qover values and culture.
o Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related matters, including coaching and performance improvement plans.
o Collaborate with managers to identify training and development needs and facilitate appropriate learning opportunities.
Employee Relations and Compliance:
o Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance on HR-related matters.
o Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and others
o Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations, proactively identifying and addressing any potential risks or non-compliance issues.
HR Reporting and Analytics:
o Generate HR reports and analytics to provide insights on HR metrics, trends, and recommendations for process improvements.
o Track and monitor HR key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
o Stay updated on HR best practices, industry trends, and changes in labour laws to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Your profile
o Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
o You have 3-7 years proven experience in HR operations, preferably in a start-up/scale-up or fast-paced environment.
o Good knowledge of Belgian labour laws and regulations, knowledge of other EU labour law regulations is a plus
o Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems.
o You can work independently while being a true team player.
o You are fluent in either French or Dutch as well as being fluent in English .
o You love to build strong internal relationships with stakeholders throughout the organisation.
o You have a get things done mentality
o You like to have fun and you do not take yourself too seriously
