HR Operations Specialist
Reports to: Global HR Director
Location: Serbia, remote
Contract: Temporary B2B contract – maternity leave cover (12-15 month contract)
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised HR Operations Specialist to provide temporary maternity leave coverage within our Global HR team.
This is a hands-on operational role supporting employees, contractors and EOR workers across more than 40 locations worldwide. You will manage employee lifecycle processes, documentation, HR systems, payroll inputs, reporting and day-to-day employee requests.
The role requires someone who communicates confidently with people but is equally comfortable working with documents, data, systems and detailed operational processes. You should enjoy investigating requests, finding the necessary information and following tasks through to completion.
What You Will Be Responsible For
HR Operations and Employee Support
- Coordinate employee and contractor lifecycle processes, including onboarding, contractual changes, transfers and offboarding.
- Respond to day-to-day requests from employees, contractors and EOR workers.
- Prepare, collect and maintain HR documentation and employee records.
- Track HR requests and ensure that actions are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with employees, managers, Finance, Legal and external providers across different countries.
- Support the consistent application of HR policies and operational processes
Payroll, Compensation and Benefits Administration
- Prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs, including new joiners, leavers, compensation changes, absences and other employee updates.
- Coordinate with payroll, benefits and EOR providers across multiple countries.
- Support benefits administration and compensation-related processes.
- Investigate and help resolve payroll and benefits questions.
- Maintain clear supporting documentation and appropriate approval records.
HR Systems, Data and Reporting
- Administer employee data and operational processes in BambooHR, Jira Service Management and other HR tools.
- Maintain accurate and complete HR data across systems.
- Monitor incoming Jira requests and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports, trackers and people-data analysis.
- Review data and documentation to identify inconsistencies, missing information or required actions.
Compliance and Process Improvement
- Support compliance with internal HR policies and applicable local requirements.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready employee documentation.
- Participate in global HR projects and the implementation of new processes or tools.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve data quality and make HR operations more efficient.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous hands-on experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Administration or a similar operational HR role.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes from onboarding through offboarding.
- Strong document-management skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence working with HR systems, ticketing tools, reports and employee data.
- Experience with BambooHR, Jira Service Management or comparable systems.
- Experience preparing payroll inputs and coordinating with payroll, benefits, contractor or EOR providers.
- Strong follow-through and a proactive approach to investigating and resolving requests.
- Ability to prioritise multiple operational tasks in a fast-moving international environment.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Russian language skills are a strong advantage.
- Availability to work through a temporary B2B arrangement based in Serbia.
