Summary of Position:

The Human Resource Generalist has broad, general responsibilities that include payroll, benefits, recruiting and administration. This position will have significant contact with employees and will be a support position to the HR Employment division of Human Resources.

 

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the HTGSS policies and procedures
  • Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGSS Core Values
  • Complies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001-2015 and Health and Safety ISO 45001-2018 policies and procedures

  • Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as assigned 


EHS:

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Meets company safety goals 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create or recommend policies and procedures and updates as necessary
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics f on various data / topics as assigned 
  • Conduct investigations as assigned
  • Support various benefits duties to include LOA and benefits administration
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, as well as sensitive company data
  • Using HRIS in a broad range of tasks
  • Administrative duties within the HR office
  • Administer the annual evaluation system
  • Supports the recruiting process as assigned
  • Administer companywide training initiatives
  • Suggest HR continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in a variety of HR projects, initiatives, and events as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • PHR certification a plus

  • Comprehensive understanding of U.S. employment laws and best practices
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently of collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all personnel matters and sensitive company data

Technical/ Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases (ADP)
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
