Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

We are hiring an HR Generalist, to join our International People Team! You will be embedded in one of Remitly's fastest growing regions, working at the heart of a cross functional and cross regional People team. Based in London and reporting to the Director of People - International, you will help shape the employee experience for our EMEA and APAC talent, from our established hubs to our newest markets.

Success in this role requires strong international HR knowledge and a bias for action. You will help to translate global strategy and local execution, partnering with business leaders, and People Partners to deliver HR operations, navigate complex employee relations, and to drive real impact across international markets. This role is hybrid and requires 2–3 days per week in our London office.

You Will:

  • Operationalise the International People strategy, running the programs and day to day tasks that bring it to life across our international teams
  • Stay current on EMEA labor law changes, policy interpretation and local market practices, facilitating local compliance across all markets (including UK, Ireland, Poland, UAE in particular).
  • HR generalist duties including supporting talent management and employee relations initiatives within your region, including talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, workplace investigations and employee development
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and other People teams to deliver integrated solutions that support business goals
  • Drive employee engagement and culture building programs that strengthen belonging and cohesion across the region.
  • Strong command of HR data, with the ability to translate metrics into clear, actionable reporting.
  • Develop employee communications, summarise employee relations cases, analyse people data and insights, and optimise HR workflows to support leaders in driving growth across the region.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Team on international payroll matters and support HR audits.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI into HR processes

You Have:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR, People Partner, or HRBP experience in EMEA / APAC, preferably in a high-growth technology, fintech, or scaling environment
  • Experience supporting organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, and change initiatives
  • Solid knowledge of EMEA / APAC labor laws and multi country HR compliance.
  • Strong data literacy and comfort using data to drive HR decisions and build reports.
  • Excellent project management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communicator and confident coach, able to influence across levels and geographies.
  • Proactive and hands on, with the ability to navigate change and ambiguity while delivering results independently.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a genuine interest in applying them to HR structural development

Our Benefits:

  • Paid Vacation Days
  • Health insurance
  • Commuter benefit
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • Mental Health & Family Forming Benefits
  • Continuing education
