ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1.    Provides HR support in the following areas:
•    Coordinates and assists in administering corporate benefits programs including health, dental and life insurance, COBRA, cafeteria plan, and the 401(k) plan. 
•    Accepts and evaluates applications and resumes; conducts screening interviews for potential employees; checks personal and professional references; and makes job offers.
•    Participates in employee training programs.
•    Provides employee relations support, disciplinary action, and performance improvement counseling.
•    Conducts exit interviews with employees.
2.    Assists in development, implementation and ensuring adherence to human resources policy and procedures.
3.    Ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the employment process.
4.    May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
5.    Performs other duties and tasks as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field and three years of general Human Resources experience.
•    A general knowledge of all facets of the human resource function in organizations.
•    Ability to interview employees, resolve concerns, and obtain employee information.
•    Excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to facilitate communication between employees and management.
•    Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
•    Ability to work well with employees and management and answer questions regarding policy and procedure.
•    Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under strict time constraints.
