Summary
UCAM is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior HR Executive to join our team in Peenya, Bangalore. This pivotal role is designed for a professional with 5 to 6 years of experience within the manufacturing sector, specifically holding an MSW in Human Resources Management or a related field. The successful candidate will serve as a cornerstone for our Human Resources department, leveraging strong interpersonal and communication abilities to manage critical functions such as statutory compliance, payroll coordination, employee engagement, and process optimization. This position demands a detail-oriented individual capable of driving operational excellence and enhancing the overall employee experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • HR Operations & Process Optimization: Lead the implementation, oversight, and continuous enhancement of HR policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and employee workflows to ensure seamless daily operations and data integrity.
  • Attendance & Leave Administration: Oversee comprehensive time and attendance tracking, including shift scheduling, leave management, and monitoring of absenteeism, while resolving related discrepancies across departments.
  • Payroll & Compensation Management: Facilitate accurate and timely monthly payroll processing, manage employee benefits such as incentives, gratuity, and health insurance, and promptly address compensation-related inquiries.
  • Statutory Compliance & Legal Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to labor laws and regulatory requirements, manage government submissions, and coordinate audits while keeping policies current with legislative changes.
  • Onboarding & Talent Development: Streamline the employee induction and orientation process, coordinate training programs to meet organizational needs, and track development outcomes to build workforce capabilities.
  • Performance Management: Administer the Performance Management System (PMS), including quarterly appraisals and reviews, utilizing digital platforms like Zoho People to ensure timely evaluations and clear objective setting.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Formulate and update HR policies, drive engagement initiatives and welfare programs, and professionally resolve employee grievances to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • HR Technology & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate master data within HRMS platforms, ensure record accuracy, and support the digital transformation of HR functions.
  • Quality Management System (QMS): Implement and audit HR-specific QMS processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, addressing any identified process gaps through corrective actions.
  • Administrative Support: Manage general administrative tasks and coordinate cross-departmental activities while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Possess a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Human Resources Management or a comparable specialization.
  • Demonstrate 5 to 6 years of progressive experience in HR, with a strong preference for candidates from the manufacturing industry.
  • Exhibit deep expertise in HR operations, labor legislation, and statutory compliance mechanisms.
  • Show proficiency in HRIS/HRMS systems, with specific experience in Zoho People, Zoho Recruit, and Zoho Payroll being highly desirable.
  • Display hands-on capability in managing payroll cycles, attendance tracking, leave administration, and benefits processing.
  • Communicate fluently in both English and Kannada, supported by excellent interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Possess strong analytical abilities to generate HR reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Demonstrate competence in creating process flowcharts and documenting standard procedures.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving acumen, and negotiation skills for conflict resolution.
  • Maintain the maturity and discretion required to handle sensitive employee information.
  • Hold relevant HR certifications as a beneficial addition to the profile.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools is considered an asset.

Skills Required

  • 4-6 years of relevant Human Resources experience
  • MSW in Human Resources Management or a related specialization
