We are seeking for a career-minded and results driven Human Resources Generalist to manage the HR operations of the Sensient New Zealand and Australia business. This individual will provide support in the areas of talent acquisition, on-boarding/off-boarding, HRIS, employee relations, training, and compensation and benefits. This exciting opportunity is 100% office at our Mt Wellington, New Zealand office!
What you will do:
Employee Relations & Advisory
- New Zealand and Australia Point of Contact: Act as the primary HR advisor for day-to-day queries, building professional relationships, consulting leaders on policies, and addressing staff concerns.
- Employee Relations Support: Partner with the HR Director to investigate, present solutions, and successfully resolve workplace grievances.
Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding) for all staff in Oceania.
2. Talent Acquisition & Training
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Act as the local recruiter for open positions in the Oceania.
- Recruitment Coordination: Partner with the APAC HR Group Recruiter for key roles—handling job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
Compliance Training: Conduct and facilitate employee training on Code of Conduct, anti-bribery policies, and other assigned subjects.
3. HR Operations & Systems Administration
- System Knowledge Base: Serve as the key user and primary knowledge holder for systems, including HRIS, Time & Attendance, Payroll, Recruiting, and L&D software.
- Vendor Management: Process and manage third-party supplier invoices for HR, benefits, recruitment, and fleet management.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the regional APAC team to hit business performance goals and optimize overall operations.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources or a Business related discipline required
Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources role required, with increasing level of responsibility in a manufacturing environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with people at all levels of the organization and across different cultures
- Excellent knowledge or ability to learn the local employment regulations
- Ability to work full-time on-site in an office and manufacturing environment
