As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within Commercial & Investment Bank Technology, you will build and sustain distributed microservices on AWS and PostgreSQL-backed platforms supporting mission-critical services.

Job Responsibilities
- Design and contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise-grade applications using C# and the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET 6/7/8+), building scalable, high-availability solutions that serve critical business functions across the Commercial & Investment Bank.
- Strong command of object-oriented programming principles, SOLID design, and established architectural patterns.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle — from requirements analysis and system design through to production deployment and ongoing operational stability.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, event-driven microservices, and distributed systems, applying industry-standard design patterns and clean code principles to ensure maintainability and long-term extensibility.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL including advanced schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance analysis for high-volume workloads. Broader knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) and experience with ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Dapper) is required.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, or equivalent platforms, including the ability to evaluate output quality and apply responsible usage practices in day-to-day engineering work.
- Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
