Position Overview:

As an HR Coordinator, you will provide administrative and operational Human Resources support in key payroll and HR administrative processes. You will serve as a resource for employees, leaders, staffing partners, and HR teams by supporting recruiting, onboarding, payroll administration, HR systems, employee communications, and employee engagement initiatives. In this role, you will help ensure HR processes are executed accurately, confidentially, and consistently while contributing to a positive employee experience. You will partner with site leadership, staffing agencies, and cross-functional teams to support workforce needs, compliance activities, and continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to employees and leaders regarding HR policies, procedures, payroll, attendance, benefits, and HR systems.
  • Coordinate payroll administration, including timecard reviews, attendance tracking, payroll processing support, and payroll-related inquiries.
  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, organizational data, and other confidential personnel information.
  • Support HR systems, including Workday and UKG, through employee transactions, reporting, audits, troubleshooting, and data management activities.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities, including requisition support, candidate communications, interview scheduling, site tours, and hiring documentation.
  • Partner with hiring leaders and staffing agencies to support temporary staffing, onboarding activities, workforce planning, and employee rollover processes.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation activities to support a positive new employee experience and ensure compliance requirements are completed.
  • Assist with compliance-related activities including I-9 verification, E-Verify administration, employee record maintenance, and audit support.
  • Maintain HR reports, dashboards, metrics, and workforce data to support operational and business decisions.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, community outreach activities, site events, and related employee programs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support site workforce needs, employee relations activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide remote support to the Walker Evans facility for payroll, HR systems administration, and related HR processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience working with HRIS systems, payroll systems, and timekeeping platforms; Workday and UKG experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Some travel to support the Walker Evans facility and other locations as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

The Battle Ground, WA site is a plant location with a standard office, light manufacturing, engineering, and warehouse operations. Some travel to the Walker Evans manufacturing facility and other locations will be required as needed. This position requires regular interaction with employees and leaders throughout the site and may require occasional schedule flexibility to support onboarding, training, employee events, and site support for the operations of day and swing shifts.  

The starting pay range for Washington is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime.  Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.  While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
